Hurray! I'm glad everything went well. Keep this in your book of coping skills for next time you are anxious... do you keep a journal? This would be a good thing to enter... next time you are anxious about something unknown you could refer to this and see that sometimes it works out well.

I'm really glad you are feeling so well afterward. Did you ask for something special, or do you think the patch worked, or maybe just the nature of this surgery being different?

Whatever it was... I'm glad it worked.

Now you rest and recuperate... Keep posting here but make everyone else wait on you for food, magazines, rub your feel, change channels on the TV for you... My Surgery

I am so glad your surgery went well & you came through without the nausea or pain.....that is great. My aprehension of surgery is horrible & the longer I have to think about it the worse I get.......

Sigh of relief....it is over......hope there isn't much nose bleeding either. Glad you had a great Dr.

Glad you didnt have problems with this... I withheld comments ... as for me, that "piece" of gauze was a few feet long.. and I had trouble with the suction tool afterwards and ending up gulping down the loose blood. gag Then the lavaging ugh ugh ugh I hope you receive good benefits.

Dex ~
I do need to keep a journal of this stuff! Thanks for the suggestion!

The only thing I asked for is an anti- nauseant medication~ the Scop patch. And thru Bebop telling me to ask them to refrain from using Versaid.. I think that helped also. And I just tried to have as positive an attitude as possible ya know?

And yeah I think the nature of the surgery was a factor also. It dealt with mostly bone. The hole to my left sinus passage was like 90% closed he said because of the deviated septum.

I have been resting. And believe it or not hubby is taking good care of me. Watching that I dont do too much or over do it. I have remote controls for the tv so thats not a problem lol. Hubby doesnt do feet ... wuss lol OOOOOOOOOPS DID I SAY THAT? LOL My Surgeryn I even have perty feet too! I mean I get a pedi done like once a month! lol.Nothing stinky about my feet! lol.

Had my followup appt today Went extremely well. I CAN BREAATH!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! This is like a whole new world to me. It feels so much better. I feel like my lungs are getting filled up better too!Although it was like 37 here today and the nose passages didnt like the cold. It hurt alot . That was like the ONLY Pain I felt this whole time!

The doc said that the passage was 90% closed because of the severe deviated septum. He is not sure and its likely it wasnt caused by a broken nose. He thinks I was born with it. Which would explain alot of the infections when I was little. I asked him also about if this will help my allergies. He said that it will help because there is alot more room for tissue to swell now and therefor making the allergies more tolerable. I was like YES! I am hoping I may not have to take my allergy meds as much now. Keeping fingers crossed! I am soooooooooooooo glad I got this done now! He had to suction the cavity out a bit. That tickled lol. But I tried not to giggle too much lol. Yeah right me not giggle? NOT!!!!!!! lol.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and good vibes! I appreciate it so much!
