Have a good guy fawkes everybody in Britain! Off to see the fireworks at a local big display (and make myself sick on bonfire toffee!)

guy fawkes? He's some bloke who tried to blow up parliament 300 years ago and was found out and burned alive. Guy fawkes night is where we honour him by having big bonfires with effigies of him on and lots of fireworks. Hmm come to think of it, it sounds pretty sick, but its a tradition!
It also probably comes from druid / pagan festivals to ward off the evil spirits of winter but nobody really knows for sure!

hahaha Makes sense to me, Mildred. Thanks for the history lesson. Doesn't Halloween stem from Druid tradition, too? Hmmm... Both Druid traditions... happy fireworks night! I'm thinking the Druids were kinda sick, like you said... haha Oh, well... we've turned it into fun, anyways. happy fireworks night!
