In my experience, if it feels wrong, don't do it. That little voice that's niggling you is trying to warn you of impending problems. Trust your instincts.

Quick update:

The university decided to waive the changing of churches since our church is very similar to theirs (yay for standing up for our beliefs). At least for now...we can reconsider if we actually end up moving there.

Hubby had a phone interview on Friday. We should hear back (if we're going to hear back) in January.

One Day At a Time,

I have the same reaction to being told I must do something also. My first reaction is, "No, I don't. Who are you to tell me I must."

This situation has sparked some interesting discussion.

One Day at a Time,

I don't thik you are sabatoging yourself at all. You are trusting your instincts, and staying true to your core beliefs.

In case you can't tell I'm catching up on this thread. It's just when I read some comments, I feel like I must respond immediately, even though I think you've already reached a resolution.

When you really need a job, I think it causes any of us to second guess ourselves, when we turn away from opportunities, for whatever reason.

Just a note on tithing...I discussed this with my boyfriend, and he says the word "tithe" means or comes from ten, so it's supposed to be a tenth, even by definition. Some churches require members to give a tenth, others see it as a goal to work towards. And my bf confirmed for me that the radio show did say that a tithe is supposed to be a tenth of ALL your income, which you separate out before you do anything else, including paying bills and whatnot.
