Hi Folks. I've met a few of you, and like I've said before am very excited to be here. I guess I wanted to get something out there and see what you guys thought of it.

Sometimes I read a person's post and I want to reply and give my opinion/support about what they've said, but I don't want to come off the wrong way, like I somehow know more than they do, or that I think I'm all-knowing.
I've talked to a couple people who said they felt like this at first too, and I guess it doesn't help that I've only been here a couple days, and sometimes commenting on a 'stranger's' thread can be scary.

Lol, don't mean to ramble. Just wanted to put this out there and see what you guys thought.

Happy new year!

-Andy

Andy..I'll just say that everything I said in chat could go here...just remember being there and letting people know you are listening and care is always good, even if you cant give any 'advice'.

Don't feel like a stranger, you are a part of PC. The only way to get to know more people and their situations is to read and post, giving support or help whenever you feel like you can.

Best of luck =)

I say that it's guaranteed that some people are going to think you're presumptuous (not because of you -- but because of them) but the majority will appreciate your concern. The fact that you're stopping to think about it before you post indicates to ME (a presumptuous member Giving advice... Do I sound presumptious? ) that you're not likely to be seen as presumptuous because you are thoughtful and considerate.

Post away! Giving advice... Do I sound presumptious?

Don't be afraid to say anything here. People need to hear input from everyone...from every angle. If you upset them or they take it the wrong way, it's their issue, not yours. I for one would love to hear anything you, or anyone else, has to say.

I like to hear from new people. I like to hear from anyone really. If they don't like the advice they can ignore it.

Hey coffeedude,

Chime in...that's why we're all here! Besides, you never know when you can contribute something uniquely yours. For instance, can you tell me how to make my coffee do this?

Giving advice... Do I sound presumptious?

So have at it! Great to meet you!

Welcome coffeedude! Don't we all sound that way from time to time? Some things members do know a lot about, though.. and how else would another know this if it wasn't said? We all have opinions, though Giving advice... Do I sound presumptious?

Much of the interraction here is a 50-50 agreement. The way posts are given and taken depend upon how the one giving phrases it, and taken according to that member's frame of mind too. Giving advice... Do I sound presumptious?

Put on your waders and come on in!
