I had a dream last night... I am a bit worried

People were tampering with my meds and were upping them. I do not know who they were or why they were doing it. My old English teacher was there. I told her and she was trying to tell me no-one was doing that and why would people do that? I kept saying I don't know. I feel like I am going crazy!!

Hiya Miss Laura. May I state the obvious, please? It was a dream. Are you inclined to believe it just because it happened in your mind, instead of say, mine? Like: "OMG! I dreamt last night that some shady characters were messing with your meds, make sure you look out for them Miss Laura! They are coming for you!!!" You would not believe me, right? You would kindly suggest I make sure I take MY meds and assure me you're fine. Yes, stories in your head are linked to some fears, conscious, or subconscious, and dreams may serve to reveal them, but treat them as symbolic.

Perhaps this dream is about your feelings of vulnerability, having to depend on some chemicals, and maybe you hate the very idea that some small pill can change how you feel. I know I would detest that. But you've made a decision to take those pills for a reason. And it was probably a very good reason.

Don't run away from that dream and the fears, though. Look it square in the eye and ask "Is it true that someone is upping my meds behind my back?" KNOW the answer. Sit with that answer.

Peace,
S.

Apparently 95% of our thinking its the same repetititve stuff. It's exactly like the songs that get stuck in our heads. But when it is something frightening, it's not as easy to get over.

I am neither paranoid, nor OCD, but if I am home alone and I find a door that's been unlocked I have to look under every bed and in every closet or else I can't fall asleep. Maybe something similar could help you. Convince yourself.

You know your meds, right, the size, the color, the markings on the pills. or color of the capsules? You know that different dosages of the same thing look different, right? Go look. Examine them, take them under a magnifying glass, assure yourself that this is the stuff you've been taking all along. Check them out against the drug identification database. For example:
