I haven't shaved for about 3 weeks now and the dishes are in the sink for maybe a week.
As for work I don't struggle to get motivated once I'm there, but I just can't be bothered getting up in time and stuff. I don't know, thoughts? |

"Can't be bothered"? You like eating and paying your bills? :-) Since you know you're okay once you get there, I'd just focus on that tomorrow morning, on imagining being there, if you drive, take the "long way" there with good music blasting on the CD player/radio, etc.

Working is for suckers. At least that's the message I derive from my coworkers who rarely show up for work, then the day they decide to come back (at mid-afternoon), moan about being overworked. If working and keeping clean are too burdensome, perhaps going on some sort of permanent disability is the answer. Then your job could go to someone who needs the work, and you can focus on regaining your health.

Soooo... what's bothering you? What's on your mind that's sapping your energy and will? There is something if you're not normally like this. Sounds like something is depressing you.

If you don't want to shave, then don't. Although I will say that a friend of mine recently found a tick in his beard.
Once, when I was graduate school, I went through a whole week and didn't dirty a single dish. Now that my friend was a good week. I have also been known to throw out every single dirty dish and buy new ones. Considering the time and effort that I would have had to extend to clean them, it ended up being a bargain. Motivation waxes and wanes. Sometimes you just have to ride it out.

I didn't go to owork today and i woke up at 2pm. My excuse was that I didn't feel well, and I think from my beard my case manager might've guessed i was feeling crazy.

Convert to Islam. Then they can't legally bother you for having a beard. Of course, then you can't shave it ever again...

Sometimes i would say about of depression but others i would say sometimes you just get tired of having to do the same thing the same routine then you spiral into this who cares why bother attitude and what for anyway!
Then you know its time for a "vaca" mental emotional ectt.. i had to invite a friend over even though i didn't want company because i won't let anyone see my house dirty and its been few weeks untouched so it made me clean up the darn thing and do those grrr...dishes...push forward ...it's teeth pulling trying to get me outta the house but once i'm out i'm happy i did. i just need someone to light a fire under my butt. ![]() |

My wife left me for 8 months and I was bouncing at a bar...having afterhours parties all night long and my house just wreaked of booze and weed. I did not do anything..other than wash my clothes and take showers. Never cleaned the house. I was raising my 10 year old son at the time. It was wild to say the least. My wife came home one day and was shocked at the shape my house was in. She finally came back home and things got back to"normal".
