Ever since I came to PC, I have found lots of what I will call best friends (even though the friends in PC are virtual friends). In real life I have 'maybe 1 best friend'; but that friend is very very distant.

Has PC and Members (me and all whom read this), for 'all' here created friends that would have never been known if were not for the inter-net and PC and virtual friends.

It may seem sad and lonely, it may seem retarded. I have found my support in friends here.
I am not ashamed of this, I am proud to see the members of PC in my life so far; my BEST EVER FRIENDS.
My real life is that quiet, and like a ghost town.

Who else feels this way, the need for support in 'virtual friends'.

Here is what PC has done for me so far........................... I (for one), has not self harmed since I came here to PC (when I say PC what I really mean is the members whom support me in what I 'may' think and say).

Hence, the support of PC/Members has helped me in more ways that friends 'In real life', could never ever do.

Who else feels this way, to be able to talk about subject's that are taboo in real life, when friends in real life don't want to know (with good reason because if I am cutting my self and talking about death; It makes sense that in real life my friends don't want to know). It kinda makes sense I guess.

So.....to all my friends and members in PC I say thank you all and I cannot think about life without you.

Please...who else thinks this way. Like a poll......................................Who needs you like you need me.

I would like to say thank you to all in the forums and in chat......I Love You All.

Thanks for this!

Dear Sanada,

I agree with you. There are better friends available here on PC than you'd ever find in real life. Mainly because here we all know we're nutty so it's not a problem. In real life, pretty much no one knows we're nutty so that puts a real distance between us and them. They can't understand what we feel and what we do. And it's hard for me at least to understand what they feel and do. Thanks for bringing it up! Take care.

Thank you Ygrec23.

I agree, It is a shame i guess irl, but I thank the universe for the net; the net = PC, PC = members, = members = Best friends....
Thanks for the reply and I guess ( but I don't like to assume ), the confirmation of what I/we feel. If I/we feel, then I though I know deep inside what I know... I love you all.

I maybe wrong a lot of the time (irl), I made mistakes when coming here (I upset people)...but the more I come to the members of PC; the more I am Sharing, learning and growing.

Thank you..xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

When I came here to PC...I was a pressure cooker. I couldn't speak to anyone in real life about the problem I had - it was just too strange and embarrassing. My brother had also just taken his life on top of that. It was a great relief to vent my problems here and I gradually made some good friends who I really care about. I wish I had friends like this is real life. PC helped me cope and broke up the monotony of waiting for my life to change. People can ask anything here and chances are someone has some helpful ideas - very smart members. I'm happy PC helps you Sanada.

The quote you placed, good stuff. Nature has its ways, all is relevant...

We, are relevant, all is relevant, relevant 'is' relevant......Nature, I love it.

Lynn, you held my hand when I came here, like a lot of others. I posted some wild stuff and you always had good advice and a sense of humour that shone through. It made me feel good, and that I had found a place I belong.
Thank you Lynn...

Check this out though. The last century was a different world (it was to me anyhow). I have had one foot in the last century and one foot in this one.
The books I read (lots of sci-fi), and classic fiction; all told me one thing really. In the twenty first century the world will be closer.
When I think of what I read (sci-fi wise), it never predicted this communication (or this level anyhow).
We live in the 21st century, we can talk about things we could never find in our 'so called' real life's.

The internet is the gift of the 21st century.

You can talk to me, I can talk to you. What could be better for a piece of hardware and some software.

I have shown my soul here (or some of it), but a lot so far. Cool, better than any T's chair. Just like you said 'pressure cooker'.

Well this pressure cooker has released some steam... Thank you.

P.S , I understand about loss, its horrible. Esp when in circumstances that don't fit the norm of what we expect. Maybe all loss is meant to be like that; Unexpected.
((lynn)).

Thanks for this!

Sanada,
I find the pretty-much un-conditional acceptance here at PC to be invaluable. In real life, I feel awkward about my mental health issues. Here I can be open and honest...and just ask questions I just wonder about without causing a full alarm in my real life...or ex-PC life. I am glad you have found such acceptance here.

Sanada, I came here looking for information and help for a problem in therapy, but I found real people instead, friendship, warmth, acceptance that has changed me and made my life so much better. Plus honestly I could talk about therapy till the cows come home! Thanks for starting this thread.

I have found it easy to talk more freely here than with my other friends. It has improved my mood. I have told people on another support forum things that I would never tell anyone else. The people here know what I am going through with my disease process and can relate. I can not do that with my family and"real" friends. Virtual friends have saved my butt. I once had a pen pal on death row. She helped bring me out of a very deep depression many years ago. Probably kept me from killing myself. I worked with the criminally insane for 23 years so she could relate to my PTSD. Thanks to ev eryone here that has talked to me in my short time here. I was really bummed out because I could not come here for a few days. My PC kept crashing. I hope I got it straightened out.

cool Popeye.

This place does help in ways that life (irl), cannot. This place though to me 'is' life. Anything that 'is in' the world is part of nature. So PC is a natural place to be for why we are here....cool. (sanada loves the computer age)..

Wow, working in the field you were in is a nobel place to work. I'm glad that a friend helped you in the way you said. .

i agree hankster...lol I can talk forever about psych and philosophy and all sorts.
This place is cool and and now a part of my life I cannot ever see going away.

Someone came back in to my life recently and they saw PC, but they said it was a good idea and then tried to keep me away from PC. I was lighting an old flame with someone I was close to (I still am the're friend, but thats it). We were never matched anyhow..lol.
