Perhaps deep thinking is the result of both past existences and being ''Human''. I find it quite hard to emagine how any one can exist in this world for any length of time and not develop the capicity for profound thought and the various forms of art/writing that result from this. In my humble opinion,we as a species have a drive to experience,to feel,to create. This drive is exceedingly strong with some of us and is a gift to be valued highly. Concerning ''Normalicy'',the human race is so diverse in culture, belief, language, and mindset, who can honestly determine what is ''Normal''? Even amongst those who say they are normal, there are differences that they consider not normal. How does one quantify ''Normal''amidst such diversity? What is normal to one individual,or group may not be normal to another. I would say this is a case where a bit of ''Deep thinking'' would come in quite useful
Thanks for this!

I still fail to see the point you are trying to make here. What do you define as deep thinking? Thinking about deep subjects (sense of life, yadda yadda) or depressive thoughts?

I don't think deep thinking deadens the mind... Not any more than shallow thinking.
Surely deep thnking is just meditating, an how do you manage that in the grip of depression. This is a something to try in remission, as in cronic deppresive state you would be hard pressed to deep think what day it is.
