Graice is my 1 year old doggie. I got her at a time in my life where I felt really alone. She helped me through so much. I know that sounds dumb, but she really was there for me.

Last night Graice was missing for a while. Turns out she was under my bed and had bitten through an extention cord and was being shocked. I heard her cries from afar and looked for her. I couldnt find her at first. I heard her in my room and rushed over to my side of the bed and turned the lamp on. Well, I shouldnt have done that because it shocked her even more. her mouth was wrapped around the cord and I tried to seperate her mouth from the cord but it wouldnt release. All of a sudden I saw sparks and lights went off and finally Gracie was able to release herself and she ran down the steps. I was completely freaked out and didnt know what to do. I feel awful for turning the lamp on but I didnt know what was happening. When I found her downstairs her tail was between her legs and she was shaking so badley.

She jumped in my lap and I wrapped the blankets around her. She slept with me all night and today she is running around like nothing ever happened. It was so scary. I dont know what I would have done if I would have lost her. She is my baby girl and so very important to me. I love her more then I can say.

I almost lost Gracie last night

I'm SO GLAD you found her! That is horrifying. As a protective pet owner, this post made me stop everything and find my cats so I could hug them.

Glad that both Gracie and you are ok, jmo...

Thanks Dubz I almost lost Gracie last night

Yeah, I have tons of pics of Gracie and her new brother Paulie. I have to resize them because when I tried to post them it says the files too big. LOL. I have no idea how to resize. I almost lost Gracie last night

Tomi,

Like LMo said. I couldnt think that fast in the moment. It all happened so fast. It was like a blurr. I am just so thankful she is OK. She is cuddling with me now. She hasnt left my side except to go potty and chew her bone on the other end of the couch. She is such a sweet girl. Mommies little baby.

((((((((((((((Jen and Gracie))))))))))))))))) I am so glad that Gracie is doing all right. What a scary experience. Hopefully Gracie will stay away from the electric cords from now on. It's not your fault you did not know what was wrong until it was too late. I am so happy everyone is all right. Let's see some more pictures of Gracie! What a cutie.

Thanks BB I almost lost Gracie last night

I posted some more pics of Gracie in Social. I hope everyone enjoys them. It was so scary. I hate even thinking about it. Her little face. She was so terrified. I'm loving on her now. LOL. She starts to give me the "white part" (her eyes) when she gets to many kisses.

She is 1/2 taco bell dog. Her other 1/2 is Pomeranian. The newest member of our family, Paulie is all Taco Bell dog. He will be 12 weeks at the end of this week.

They both have a vet appointment on the 12th for a poop check. Except Paulie is getting shots too. I almost lost Gracie last night

Glad Gracie is ok. We all think of baby proofing our home, but not puppy proofing them. It's tough to think like a puppy since all they want to do is get into everything to learn. That is a difficult way to learn however. When they are teething it makes it even more rough.

I don' know if you have "chew Stop" where you are, but they now have it in spray cans & works great for horses, & have used it on my dogs several times. It works very well being a hot cinimmon flavor that all animals hate.

Maybe she is going through teething again when they get in their final set of teeth. I know it is hard to live through these times, but you are doind the best you can...knowing how much you love her.

I am sure that shock was much worse than the hot wire we use for out horses, I am forever getting shocked by the hot wire......hope things will get better,
Debbie

Thank you guys. We have sour apple spray that we use to stop them from biting or nipping us or eachother. Gracie has never chewed anything like this. She mostly sticks to her hamburger squeaky and her baby back rib bone. She does have an obsession with bugs of all kinds but never wires or anything like that.

She has been chillen all day. She is doing pretty well considering. Thanks for all of you well wishes. I almost lost Gracie last night

Huggles,

Jen
