Heh - sorry!

You know, though, in my case I can get REALLY caught up in negative feelings if I just pacify myself on my own. It ends up being wallowing. I'm not sure I agree with that advice to self-affirm all the time. I really rely on my therapist and friends to set me straight if I am misinterpreting something or feeling misunderstood or rejected (because face it -- when we're feeling sensitive, more than half of the time that we feel rejected is truly a misunderstanding anyway. Can't speak for the other half, though).

We're getting philosophical now... Fuzzy -- do you want to get back to you or do you prefer to talk in general terms?

Talking in general terms is fine with me..... and thanks for the modelling of "respectful" behaviour... much needed at times imnsho.

Fuzzy, I think the feeling of "abandonement" can trigger the feelings of disrespect and violation... speaking in "General Terms." Fuzzy

Only thing we can do in a public place like this, though, is to know who understands and who doesn't, who can "take care of themselves" and who can't, who WILL and who WON'T... namely who will accept RESPONSIBILITY for themselves and who won't.

We can only hope that the majority will chose to accept that responsibility and act accordingly. If some won't, then we need to stay away from their posts altogether. Fuzzy

Sorry that you were getting so triggered by the all caps thing.

Who has been writing in all-caps lately? I haven't even seen any like that. PM me if you want.

I haven't seen it too much lately but I know sometimes all caps are used in subject lines, or as whole posts, or as parts of posts. When it boils down to it, it's kind of annoying and can be prevented by just pressing a key. I don't know why some people choose to post this way. Not that it's the end of the world or it's horrible or they are for doing it - I just don't get it is all.

correct... there are some behaviours that are likely to trigger others though that can be avoided once the person realises....(and maybe realises where the behaviour is coming from as well)

I have learnt that the hard way myself. Fuzzy
