Am I allowed to be ANGRY when I am on PC?

My T has been working with me, to help me to release the ANGER. I find it very hard as there is a lot of fear that goes with that feeling.

Obviously I need to express the ANGER in a safe way, and without upsetting anybody else.

I feel, (maybe because of my own issues)that this is frowned upon here at PC.

I would like your thoughts on this subject.

Thanks.

I think everyone is entitled to be angry. Providing that you're not lashing out at another member, I personally don't believe there to be a problem.

Don't quote me on this though, I haven't been here that long. (But then again, I've seen the rant threads, so if some members do it, I don't see why you can't as well. Heck, I did it. Am I allowed?)

We'd only pull an angry post if it crosses guidelines. If it's an attack on another member, for example, or if you used obsecene or profane language. If you'd like, you can PM me your message and I can offer some feedback before you post it.

I am NOT angry at any member here.

I am very worried about upsetting other people, I can't cope with confrontation.

It's just that my T keeps telling me that it's ok to be angry. But in the real world I'm not sure that it is really.

The best support for me at PC so far has been when I have been able to join in when somebody else was angry.

Maybe I am worrying too much about what other people think of me.

ANGER, is something that I am learning HOW TO...

I appreciate any comments that you have to offer.

Thanks.

As long as an angry post is tagged with the "trigger" icon and doesn't violate the community's guidelines, anger is indeed allowed expression here, just as with any other emotion.

Let the ANGER flow.... you are safe here and we all know that you are NOT upset with us, therefore, we can lend a place of healing for your words and feelings.
