Loved the pom poms -- they were perfect along with the cheer.

Hello EJ Peak Week with School

I always enjoyed Profs lectures when they used real world examples in a humorous way.

Dubz -

I'm using Twinkies to discuss production costs, and everyone will get one.

Bipolar Bear -

I do believe in myself. I just seem to have run out of energy this week.

All,

I never worked two months without a paycheck. I get my first paycheck on the 15th. I only have two more weeks until Spring Break. I just feel like I'm running on empty now. Thanks for your support.

Hi EJ,

Off topic, but I saw a show last night where they deep-fried Twinkies (ewwww!). Can you imagine that? The people at the restaurant said they were delicious but....I have a hard time grasping the concept. <G>

I'm sending you lots of good wishes and hugs Peak Week with School Peak Week with School Peak Week with School Peak Week with School Peak Week with School

My guess is that your students are bound to be paying rapt attention if Twinkies are involved Peak Week with School but I'm sure it will all go great anyway!

Hang in there!

Hugs,
ErinBear

Erin,

I wasn't allowed to eat Twinkies as a kid. I might just have my first one tomorrow!!

Fried Twinkies sounds gross.

Hugs,

EJ

Deep-fried Twinkies are DA BOMB!!!! Deep-fried Snickers are good, too.

Y'all gotta come to the Wisconsin State Fair. Not only you can find deep-fried junk food, you can get cheese on a stick! No *****! Where else could you possibly experience THAT delicacy? Peak Week with School

Good luck, EJ.

Hi EJ,

We didn't have Twinkies at our house either, although I have to confess, I have indulged a couple of times as an adult. Peak Week with School As far as the mass-produced cakes go, I think they're okay, but I was always more fond of Ho-Hos, if they have those where you live. I liked them partly because of the possibility of playing with one's food. I did a survey when I was about 12, and 6 out of 7 respondents did the same thing I did....they unwrapped and then unrolled the Ho-Hos before eating them. Very intriguing. (Ho-Hos, if they don't exist where you are, are sort of like miniature chocolate cake rolls, filled with vanilla icing, and clothed in a chocolate coating)

If you do try a Twinkie, I hope you'll like it!

Hugs,

Hi CandyBear!

Now cheese on a stick....*that* is a treat that I can go for! Oh yum, cheese! Yayyyyyyyyy!

I still don't know about the deep-fried Twinkies and candy bars, although I've heard lots of stories about the deep-fried candy bars. Deep-fried stuff doesn't usually agree with me so well, so I might pass on it. But I'll take your word for it that it tastes good. <G> Still a bit hard to imagine somehow though.....LOL..... Maybe it's something like s'mores with the candy bar, anyway, because the chocolate melts? The twinkie...hmmm...I'm not sure what happens with it that makes it better deep-fried. I guess you'd have to be there. Peak Week with School

LOL

Take care,
ErinBear

Have had problems with my ink jet cartridges, which have slowed my progress. Still working on class prep. Been working almost two months now, and will receive my first check around the 21st of this month.

Hi EJ,

Tell your inkjet printer that I said it should behave itself nicely for you...no more problems! Really, I hope everything goes smoothly with the rest of your preparations, and tomorrow's class will be a good one for you and the students. Thinking positive thoughts for you!

I'm sorry there is still such a wait for the 21st to get here, but I guess every day that passes is one day closer. Hang in there, and know that I'm sending caring thoughts in your direction....

hugs,
ErinBear

Thanks to everyone who cheered me on during this rough patch. Today's class did go well. It's hard to believe, but we all seemed to enjoy discussing the tax system. The Twinkies were a hit.

Hi EJ,

So glad things went well at the class - I thought they would! Also glad the Twinkies were a hit. So, did you try one? Peak Week with School
