Do you read between the lines of posts, and do you find that helpful? Or do you find it more helpful to take things at face value? Thanks to everyone for your great replies to my other questions!!!
Take care, Fuzzy

I always try to read between the lines. Sometime it's good to do that but sometime it's not. (for me)
Thank you for this great question. What do you find more helpful Fuzzy? Take good care dear special one! forgoten |

I have a hard time not reading between the lines, esp. with people that I "know". I think that's good because then they know that I am thinking about them and care, plus I may be able to help them. With new people I usually take their comments at face value until I get to know them better and have more insight into what may be bothering them. ![]() Mary Alice ![]() |

I agree with Mary Alice too.....if I know the person it is almost like you can tell what is really going on with them. Sometimes even with the newer ones I will see a sentence that stands out to me even though they may not think much of it...sometimes it says more. I love how you get my brain working especially early in the morning ![]() ![]() Heather "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life - it goes on." ~~Robert Frost

Right, when you know someone you can understand what is really going on with them and can read between the lines. It's a lot harder when you don't know the person as well yet. Some posts can be taken at face value because that is how they are meant (although the writer still might have something between the lines and not realize it), but usually what is betwen the lines is of more importance.
A lot of these questions go along with my personality theory class. Some theorists always read between the lines (like Freud), but there are those who never do (they either don't consider the unconscious to be of significant importance or prefer to stick to the facts and what is observable) and also others anywhere in between. <font color=green>"Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible" Carl Jung</font color=green>

(((((Fuzzy))))) My blonde beauty,
I think most people tend to read between the lines while in fact, we would all be better off if we just read what was written. Your friend Sam (who is even now thinking about laying a trap for a certain blonde bear by placing the honey jar close to my pc) "You'll never know what you're capable of if you don't try."
