Sky -
I really liked him too. He was just honored by Kansas City's Mayor, Kay Barnes, on St. Patrick's Day. He had so much class and dignity. EJ |

when my first husband was in law school, Buck Owens came to Oklahoma City. there was a contest on the local radio station. you wrote a letter explaining why you and a guest should get to be backstage with Mr. Owens and his band at the concert. Kitty Wells and Johnny and Jack were also there.
i wrote the most pitiful letter about how our budget was nonexistent, and it was, and how hard we were working to get J through law school and on and on and we won! it was a memorable evening, something that i'll never forget. Kitty Wells was so sweet and friendly. i'm sorry that he passed. thanks, Sky, for making note of it here. xoxox pat |
