Hi Rainbow,

I am so sorry that this happened to you. When we are up against it, that is just when we are tempted to take a risk and it's the most dangerous time.

You are not alone, I'm sure that lots of us have made this mistake. The thing is, that when we have long term ill health we actually have to get better at budgeting our money and looking after ourselves, just when we are least able to cope.

It's hard.

Good thoughts, M

I'm on what is called a Medicaid Spendown. Basically I make too much money for regular medicaid so I have to have this. It sucks because its only for 3 months. It has all the benefits of medicaid but you have to prove that you still need it every 3 months. In fact I'm due to reapply in April. I also get food stamps but I always run out and end up having to have my parents help me out. I get ssi but make too much from that to get ssdi. I don't understand all the wierd laws regarding this but oh well. I guess I'm lucky to have what I have.

Rainbowzz, I don't know how many times I've done that same exact thing! Thinking that I'd be doing a smart thing, they just go and steal all your freakin money!

My best advice...if it's anything online...free or not...your best bet is to avoid it!
