I haven't even talked to my T yet, but I did leave him a quick voice mail. I can't wait to go in to see him and hear what he thinks of this, even though I already *KNOW* that he won't think much of it for me. Being that I already have enough job and other life stresses coaxing my weight and eating thoughts downward. This new stuff is going to be way too much for me!

I have been informed that I will be starting a new schedule as of this Monday, April 3. My new schedule--in addition to the (often mandatory) overtime they like to give people--every other week I will be forced to work 6 days in a row--Monday through Saturday--the 6th one NOT being overtime because they strategically coordinate the payroll/pay-period dates to get away with it. The week following I will have one day off during the week, and then that weekend I would be off with the kids. I am *NOT* going to like this. They pay is nice. The insurance sucks. The company's business practices and healthcare ethics is evil. I honestly haven't had much positive to say about them since I started, and would love to leave for a new job. Wish me luck that I will: 1)grow to love it (becoming cold and immoral in the process), 2)find a new, enjoyable job that pays well, 3)not walk out in the middle of the workday's frustrations or get fired for calmly but firmly standing up to a supervisor demanding respect, morals and honesty. (BTW, I have nicely pissed off the head team supervisor before, and was complimented for it by coworkers and a regular supervisor.) Hope you have a great day at YOUR job! (One of us has to.) GRRRR is right! Wow (((inky)))) I'm sorry you are struggling with this job. Is this the one with the military pharmacy still? Sorry, I don't really have a good memory, just a good resource system GRRRRRR

Yes, I hope you can keep this job... and become a better person for yourself (not taking it all personally.) Being assertive without being aggressive is a thin line, imo.

Is there some way the T can help you to avoid the scheduling mess, via disability accommodations?

I can relate to this due to the stress of my job. It was totally out of my field with major multi-tasking which eventually contributed to me getting very ill last Fall. Our job situations sound a lot different in that the company I work for is wonderful with excellent benefits. But for me, I chose option 2 and resigned recently.

I pray that something happens one way or the other with your job...those situations are really tough.

Oh Inky, how horrible! Can you make an anonymous call to the Labor Board and let them know what is happening? Maybe they can take a general action against the company.

Meanwhile, start looking for another job.

I wish you everything good.

Hugs,
