I don't know what I'd do without takeaways - I can't remember the last time I cooked, from scratch a proper meal for myself. Too apathetic.

But I'm sorry yours made you feel yucky.

I totally understand that feeling! Often times I'll be too lazy to make something to take for lunch and end up grabbing some greasy fast food and I just feel horrible afterwards. Not just the sitting in your stomach part, but the extreme guilt I have over the fat and calories I ingested.

As I get older, I learn to appreciate home cooked food so much more. Well that and it saves money too - again, a sign of getting older grrrrrr to takeaways....

I'm a lazy cook, use my crock pot a lot. A piece of meat and some tinned gravy or other liquid and 8 hours later I have "dinner". Last night worked out well for me because my husband was away and got home over an hour late and didn't eat for another hour. The crock pot roast saved the day. I'd added a few veggies a few hours earlier so everything was perfect for him.

I love roasts though, beef; chicken; Monday night, a leg of lamb; you get a meal in 2-3 hours, good leftovers, and you don't even have to do much.
