I do not know why it came out messed up but...

This is what I got with my L scale extremely high and some others high as well... I did not lie and told the truth what do you think? Are they (LEO) going to fail my psych eval based on the high score of the L scale?

Profile Evaluation-51.6

The other t-scores came out normal. I did not lie but my L scale is huge as you can see... Am I not going to get a LEO job because of this?

MMPI scores really need to be interpreted and explained by the psychologist who did the testing. How did you even get hold of details about your scores without them having been explained to you?

There should either be a written explanation of the scores and how they should be interpreted, or someone trained to interpret the scores should sit down and explain this to you.

From http://www.mmpionline.com/ ? I was curious and searched for the test online after seeing this post. Took it, too... results look much clearer than the jumble from the copy/paste.
From what I understand, the T-scores are the ones to analyze, with the "normal" range being between 40-64. However, each different scale really needs it's own explanation, and also needs to take into consideration other factors... example; a PTSD scale considers many factors including sleep trouble, depression, other things that together are commonly found in PTSD but could be for other reasons - simply having depression while having a medical sleep problem and lack of concentration from ADHD could probably score high on PTSD but still not have PTSD. It's necessary to know what kinds of questions contributed to the score on the scale as well as a person's background to see if the score is relevant or not.
This is why an in-person professional trained in using the test is really needed to interpret it.

There is no pass or fail with psych evals... everything you posted is just a break down of how and what you answered with the questions, something you need to understand about psych evals.. the MMPI and other versions of the MMPI dont diagnose you on their own, all they tell you is where you fall in regards to every mental disorder, every personality type, ....in relation to the answers you gave.

these written/computerized tests like the MMPI and others are supposed to be used ***in conjunction with**** the interview, and other parts of a psych eval then with ***all*** parts of the psych eval put together will tell what your actual Axis of disorders/problems are..

the validity scales (the ones you are concerned saying you lied) they are things like how long it took you to answer the test, on a scale did the testing provider get the impression you were hesitant, or trying to answer according to what you felt the testing provider wanted to hear/see for your answer, vs no hesitation answering off the top of your head, these kind of scales also get thrown off if you are not consistent with your answers (one time saying you like green and the next time a color question comes up you pick red for example) and also how hard you press with the writing utensel when answering.. theres all kinds of reasons why an examiner/computer would say you are lying.. it doesnt necessarily mean your literally lying.

because we arent privy to the whole psych eval such as the testing procedures, the interview, the academics, observations,.....that go along with the MMPI and other versions of the MMPI we cant interpret it for you..

the only people that can do that would be your treatment providers or the testing provider that administered the test to you..
Thanks for this!
