My question is pretty simple-what is stable or how does it look like?
Thanks

Hmmm Stable doesn't "look" like anything. It's when you're not "high" or "low. It's when you're just about "normal" whatever that is, and you're not wavering between the two. You're staying the same. Is that what the doctor said YOU were? If so, that's good. Hugs, Lee

to me stability is when you're no longer obsessing over your mental health issues, and you go day in and day out without being too symptomatic. a sign of stability is when you begin to turn to having relationships, and begin focusing on other parts of your life that you weren't able to even grasp when you were unstable. when you feel up to working on the parts of your life effectively that you couldn't before. that's how i see it.

Stable to me is symptom free, or at least symptoms over control.
Thanks for this!

Stable to me is when the mental see saw of emotions have stopped going up and down. It is level.

How long that state remains is another question.
Thanks for this!

When I'm doing my life without thinking about the diagnosis I was given; not thinking about all my behaviours through the lens of the diagnosis.

Wow, some interesting perspectives on stable-more than I thought of-but that is why I asked. Thanks for replying everyone. I appreciate that you took the time. Hope you all have some stability in your lives today!
