I was reading some posts this morning where the poster had written a long post or reply and had either hit the wrong button, or hit the right one and in either case lost the post. Then they had to go thru the hassle of writing it again. I know thats happened to me, and it's really a pain in the butt.

I've gotten into the habit of when I know that my post or reply is going to be a long one, I write it up in a word processing program like Word or Word Perfect, save it, and then cut and paste it to the message posting box here. Then I post it to the board. Then if for some reason it doesn't post, you can go back to where you saved the original and cut and paste it again instead of starting all over from scratch. Also, if you want to add icons to your message, you can do that after you've pasted it in here.

Just an idea that works for me.

True...so true. I try not to flaunt my great mind. I have however sprained my arm while patting myself on the back...sigh.
