Just the past few days I've felt incredibly, deeply sad. I have absolutely no reason to feel this way, but I can't help feeling it. Can't shake it off. My head feels heavy, and it hurts.

I was really frightened and sad last week and took a personal day off work. I was too afraid to leave the house. I wrote about it here. Little by little, as I shared, and others shared and supported me, I came to realize what was really scaring me.

Sometimes, it can be "something" that you are picking up on from others; sometimes, it can be something that is within you that hasn't surfaced quite yet. I learned the most important thing is to acknowledge the feeling and honor it. Your feelings matter.

And be sure to take good care of you.

Please keep us posted and let us know how you are doing.

I totally agree with Rose. Your feelings are important. I know you mentioned before that you don't have professional help or a therapist to talk to, but I would strongly recommend finding someone, even a counselor at your school, to help you work through your emotions. It's so hard to deal with on your own, and I can say that it definitely is hard to change when you see everything from the same perspective and lenses that you have always had. Talking to a non-biased source is always wonderful, especially when emotions get confusing and overwhelming.

I have to agree with "littlemisssunshine' that having someone to talk to is crucial. If you're severely depressed, this is doubly iimportant. Please talk to a counselor at school and get some help. That's what they're there for.

I hope you do get some help. I wish you the very best. God bless hon, and take care. Hugs, Lee

The others have pretty much said it all. Post on the Depression forum, that might help. Pay attention to how you feel and try to sort it out. You are not alone and others there may be able to help you sort it out. Don't hesitate to talk to the counselor at school as well.
