i understand that certain threads upset people. on the other hand, as desirae stated, the thread really helped her understand the issue. if
something bothers us, we can just skip it and not read it.

i think that the Dateline thread was awesome. it's high time that this issue be discussed. it's been hidden for far too long.

again, just don't read something if it upsets you. there are a lot of threads that i skip. i go to a thread and support someone and that always help me forget the negative things. xoxoxo pat

It's best to ignore those threads that you may find upsetting. I've had to do that with a lot of threads and posts lately.

I have to admit, I even stay out of some of the forums to avoid being upset! I'm bad, I know it!

Pat, I agree with you 1000%!!

Just today I left a private chat because the subject was unappealing to me. I didnt say anything. I was in the minority. Didn't get my feelings hurt neither did I get upset. I simply took responsibility for myself! Period!

There is some forums I don't even enter so I will not get triggered. Some threads I don't read either for the same reason.

It's ok to write our feelings down and share and it's also ok to read a post or not.

I also agree with this thought. People always need to be responsible for their own protection and well-being, and that means trying your best to be aware of possibly triggering material and staying away from it.

I often fear I am being rude, or unsupportive .. but I do stay away from many threads for my own safety. I apologize to those members. I have never, ever wanted to appear unsupportive or 'choosy' in my replies. But my safety is of the utmost importance to me. I am truly sorry if that is selfish.

Thank you, I agree as well. There are posts I avoid to because of how they will effect me. It's easy to avoid.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
