I am sure most of you know that Jon Benet's mom passed away Saturday. Let's make a friendly poll.
Do you think she was guilty?

I remember the story .. but it has been some years ... so I just don't feel I should vote. May I ask how? (she passed away?) Not that that makes any difference to the poll, it is just that there is no news media about this where I am.

I remember the story clearly, I still feel I can't vote though. I wondered how she died though - thanks for the info.

I can't vote, either. I didn't know. Well, no one knows but the people who were there, and even if we feel someone is or isn't guilty, even if there's a lot of things that point to guilt (and keep in mind, the media can affect you opinion just in the way it presents the facts, or lies), it doesn't mean we're right.

yes very, but sadly the mom died this weekend and people are wondering if there might have been some death bed confession. only she and her husband. it is sad that she may have taken that secret with her but I like alot of other people think if not her then someone in that house did it.

when i saw the pictures of the little girl, all dressed up like an adult woman, i felt so sorry for how her life must have been. bleached hair, mascara, lipstick, jewelry, etc.

i just felt so sad about their entire life.

oh I did too. I personally don't think the pagents should be like that. when my daughter was very very young I put her in one. it was just who the cuter kid was. not anymore! pagents are big business and poor kids look like some kind of super models or just floozies.

I voted.

It is my thinking that this child was abused... which is the what I think of nearly ALL of the stuff mothers put their children (babies included) through all the stuff of beauty pageants. Jon Benet Ramsey The father was just as guility of the abuse, as he allowed it. Rich or not, it's abusive behavior...and quite easily leads to outbursts of anger and dire punishments for misbehaving (not doing something right, not winning the competition.)

Remember, the broken window in the basement? The glass was found outside on the grass/snow... no one broke IN Jon Benet Ramsey

Tis sad memories indeed.

That's true. I think beauty pageants are bad, period. Teaching a girl that her value relies in her looks is sad.

i never watch Dr. Phil, (court t.v. is my thing) but i saw it a week or two ago. a woman had written to him to ask for help with her sister. seems her sister was putting her young daughter in the beauty pageants and was $90,000 in debt from it.....then the next woman that was on was taking her 9 year old daughter to sing country music every night of the weekend and such. and if the poor child didn't perform to the mother's satisfaction........she would refuse to talk to her daughter OR abuse her verbally........it was sickening. Dr. Phil pointed out tons of things to both women......they stuck with their behavior until the end..........sad, sad, sad........

I think that addresses one of the points being held here... isn't it something how some ppl will insist on their point of view -only-, even when there is evidence to the contrary,,, trying to ignore any issues? Myspace does have a problem and if they are held accountable, the other sites will pay attention or also be held accountable. That's the way this society works. Get the leader of the crud, and the rest will follow...

Tell me, why does a child need to half way dress and show photos and talk with curse words for posting on their own webpage? What does that do to edify them: someone made in the image of God, imo???? Why do we allow them to degrade themselves? They don't know it's wrong, they don't realize the ramifications, imo...and if adults don't either, then our society has lost something very precious imo, our moral base.

My sister entered pageants when she was younger...preteens. It was her decision...and our mom never forced it on her. Now she is extremely materialistic and has a history of drug abuse (drug use to keep the figure slim is quite common in modeling and pageantry). She also has a portfolio for bondage and S&M pics...she was an erotic model.

It's sad that she could've turned out much better. I think the modeling and world inside the pageants is horrific and if anyone ever wants their kid to be in one...SHAME ON YOU!

This is the result of that environment. Not good in my opinion.
