I got some different lens solution after someone i talked to suggested that the one I have been using (ReNu) is supposed to have some problems associated it with it (drying out eyes etc).
Feels better today using different stuff but not that great still ![]() Maybe I look at computers too much heh. |

I hate going to the eye doctor! I have dry eyes, so I can't wear contacts. Watching someone putting them in squidges me, too, Monty's girl.
I'm always rubbing my eyes, drying to get the gunk out. I always feel like there's something in my eyes, and my eyes water uncomfortably, burn and itch. They also get crusty a lot. I use eye drops, but they only help so much. I sometimes want to break down and cry, because the discomfort is almost constant, and it distracts me from any activity. I spend a lot of time in the bathroom, because I always wash my hands when I rub the stuff out of my eyes (I try to avoid it otherwise, even though my eyes are uncomfortable), and often, I'll get out of the bathroom, only to feel the gunk slide down my eye or change positions, or my eye waters, or otherwise bothers me. Sometimes it makes my vision blurry, because the gunk needs to be gotten out. Additionally, I need to see an opthalmologist for a general eye exam, because I think I'm myopic (is that the word? I think I'm becoming near-sighted, in other words, and stuff in the distance tends to be blurry, while stuff up close is clear). I don't wear glasses (used to), but I think I'm going to have to start, for some things, anyway.

That's like mine but mine are not gunky, just kinda hot and uncomfortable. I think we should all be born with perfect vision!!!!!! |

I think I was born with perfect vision, but there are a number of factors which may have caused the dry eye, including diet. I know age can contribute to vision loss, but I also wonder if my frequent rubbing has anything to do with my potential myopia.
Eye problems suck!

I've never worn contacts. I've never been able to get past the idea of sticking my fingers in my eyes. I've never minded glasses, really, but at the same time I can hardly wait until the day I can afford lasik.

But had another scratchy dry day today so while I had a few reservations initially I can't wait to get rid of the contacts and switch to glasses full time (except maybe for going out!) Got my appointment booked!! |

Have you tried the new silicone lenses? They're a lot more comfortable because they hold moisture better.
I have glasses for when I'm not wearing my contacts, but I avoid wearing them in public at all costs.

Hmmm ... no ... may be worth looking into
![]() Right now I am worried about messing up my eyes so I can't wear contacts at all (has happened to a couple of friends and it is mentioned in this thread too). So might be time for a change ![]() |
