I think I might have schizophren and a phobia or two. My phobia number one is the fear of being in or swimming in water. I feel as if I'm swimming in the ocean and my schools swimming pool is full of moray eels and sharks. I actually confirmed my self of this, and get extremely scared. I can't stand to swim. My second one is just as bad. My second phobia is that when I have a window or any thing that someone can look into at night is being used to stalk me. I have a feeling that someone is always watching me. I have 3 beds sheets nailed to my windows, per window. I think this is link aswell, but I believe that I will get raped by that stalker. Sometimes I belIeve that stalker is real, and cconvince myself there is a face in the window. Also, I think I have schizophren because I have thoughts and images in my head I can't control. And event worse, I sometimes argue with a voice in my head telling my wrong things...Sometimes if it gets bad enough, I become suicidal and depressed. Please... HelP me.

Hi. Please know that you're in a safe place and I'm glad you're here. My first thought is, have you talked to a doctor or mental health counselor? If not, that can seem very hard to do but such a relief when you finally do. Are you taking any meds, either prescribed or from any source? You're probably aware that there are some good meds that can help one calm down and deal with whatever is a bother. Above all don't be ashamed or let any voice tell you not to talk to someone... there's help available and you don't have to live in fear! If you know of a mental health clinic near you, hard as it can be, give them a call and make an appointment. Nothing to be ashamed about, we're all rooting for you!

I have ADHD. My grandpa and grandma had schizophrenia. Btw I meant to say I convienced my self, I knOw there isn't really any sharks or anything. Also, that voice is kinda like me and my "conchins" (sometimes), or just a voice of my own in my head. Tbh I left out a big part. I had a messed up childhood.

It's great that you have some grasp of what's going on. ajmich's advice is good ... I really hope you will take what understanding you have and get professional help in developing your understanding and coping skills. Perhaps adding medication if you and pdoc feel that is a good choice for you.
I'm so glad you're here on PsychCentral. Welcome, and feel free to visit the Forums and post wherever you feel a connection. roadie |
