A "blocker" is someone who wants to place hurdles in one's path to success. An "assister" is someone who wants to help one achieve success. My life has been full of "blockers". It seems like most everyone wants to place roadblocks to whatever I want to accomplish. Either they'll make comments to the effect that I shouldn't try, or they'll compete with me or find a cat's paw to compete with me. Life for me is much like "The Truman Show". Most everyone is busy trying to keep me constricted with false fires and so forth while offering me the six-pack of beer.

That's cool that your first post is a reply to me. I feel like I'm in a maze and there's a hand of God that throws a cleaver down in front of me every time I make some progress toward the exit, the big storm that almost drowns me for everyone's entertainment. Maybe there's someone out there rooting for me while they're watching my life unfold on TV. Will I survive the storm and emerge victorious? Maybe so, but not by the wishes of those in my life. People close to me smugly describe my life as "rough" and so forth, all while having their little chuckle about it, never offering any real help. People at work purposefully give me minimal hours and pay with maximum workload.
