It puzzles me that so many in this thread would focus on physicality, instead of the heart of the issue- your emotional growth
I agree but it seems to be what the OP wants to focus on too so...

...yeah, because if I look better, I'll feel better and participate better. It's a Saturday night work-free, I'm young and into music and all that, yet every weekend I look in the mirror and think - " I can't possibly go out looking like this"

...I've got a work do tonight that started at 19:30, so to give me time, I sent a text saying I couldn't make it till after nine, just so that I drink enough booze to delude myself into going out and not caring until tomorrow morning where I'll just crash in bed, praying that nobody took photos or remember anything I did or said and self-care until I drag myself to work on Monday keeping my head down and away from office chatter.

If I looked just normal, I would of been there at seven, happy and carefree.

Let's not move the topic away from the original thread though please...

I'm sorry. I though building self esteem and moving forward in life was the topic.
So the topic actually is acne and how it affects your self esteem and prevents you from maturing and moving on in life? I don't really see the skin condition and looking younger than your age as what is holding you back so I'll drop out of the thread now and wish you well

Not really.
The acne plays a major part, but it wasn't until I saw the correlation that began to feel as if I was going backwards.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
