Where do I start with all of it? Then again I am not even sure what exactly is wrong with me. Between physical and mental ailments it has gotten to the point where I don't know where one ends and the other begins.

A small list of what I think is wrong with me:

Depression
Anxiety
Dental issues (well what pieces of teeth I have left)
Low testosterone
Lower back
Knee problems
Endless headache (really just changes intensity never really goes away)
Overweight since that seems to be an issue with people
Out of shape (I know people who weigh more than I do by far yet can do things that I could only dream of) I get tired just going up the steps to my apartment.
Sinus and alergy problems (best part is when half my face swells up and I look like the elephant man)
Acid reflux
IBS although The dr. thinks it is what I have and I haven't been actually diagnosed.
Lactose intolerance (this is a problem because ice cream is my favorite food, well next to bacon) and no one really makes an ice cream substitute that comes close to the ice cream I used to eat when I could eat it.

I think there are a lot of other problems but these seem to be what are the most prominent. I guess you can add bad spelling and grammar oh and stupidity, I am not the brightest tool in the shed.

So, can you get some professional help for the mental stuff? Of course, you can glean ideas from here and try them out, but a lot of people like having a therapist. As for the physical stuff, it really affects the mental stuff, especially as you get older. If you eat to care for your body, you should start seeing results. If you can swim, that is a way to exercise that doesn't hurt your legs and feet and so on. Of course, it all depends on your physical concerns - I see you're in the States - do you have medical? I'm in Canada, so I have the luxury of going to the doctor frequently without any additional cost.

You may not be the brightest, but you can improve. Instead of bashing yourself verbally, you could always try picking up a challenging subject - be it engine repair or calculus, pick something of interest or value to yourself, and just try to improve your mind. It's do-able. I've found fantastic results, and I am older than you.

Another problem I should have posted is the fact that even though I work a more than full time job I can barely pay my bills. Let alone seeing a psychiatrist. Actually I did try and went to a mental health facility covered under my insurance. it didn't work out so well. The format doesn't work for me especially when I need to rush after work to make an appointment on time.

There is the thing of money, even with somewhat health insurance I just could not afford to go. On top of that there will be medications and that kind of thing. I also make too much money (according to institutions and places) I guess even though I barely can afford my bills that is not a consideration.

I have tried hobbies over the years. Some I truly love but They make me crazy after awhile. I can never seem to get things to go how I want them to go or look. My name gives away a little. I have tried various forms of creative activities. Like miniature building, drawing, etc. I just don't have the hands, mind or whatever to get things to be as they should be.

Welcome to PC, uncreativeartist.
It does sound like you have a lot of issues you're facing right now. It also seems quite clear to me that a lot of what you're saying is the depression coming through. I also noticed in your first post that you said the list contained things that you 'think' are wrong with you. A lot of them are pretty serious things. Have you considered getting them checked out just to be sure? It might be worth it to know what you're dealing with so that you can make more informed decisions.
There are a number of forums here, people living with all sorts of things, mental and physical issues abound. I hope you are able to find some hope and support here. Take good care. Hope to see you around.

It would just be easier to have it all go away. Just tired of dealing with all these problems for all this time.

Yeah, I hear you. It's frustrating to try and get no results or poor results. You have to make the best of what you've got. I know that isn't appealing, but it's reality. I hope you find some help here. I like your nick, by the way. It just captures something.

As far as the endless headache goes. Do you get migraines? Or do you think it is stress/anxiety/depression? I'm laid low by headaches 2 or 3 times a week. So I will offer a tidbit. When it's bad take excedrin and benadryl together.

At this point I am starting to think I was born with the headaches. Very rarely do they get to migraine strength but when they do it lasts a couple of days. I take ibuprofen and aspirin but I think I have been taking them so much they might not be working like they should. I actually started taking less and I am barely taking any now it's been a good week or so since the last ones I took. I tried excedrin but it gets my stomach upset every time I take that brand.

I think with everything that goes wrong with my life light headaches are the least of my worries.

Thanks for the help all. I just think venting a little might help. Not sure but it can't hurt can it?
