Well, for the first time in my professional career, I've decided to take a break from working for "the man" and go out on my own. For the past 11 years, I've worked for various companies, startups, and most recently, as a consultant. While I will continue consulting from time to time, my main focus has now changed.
I will take what I started here and work to make it the best darned mental health site online today. What this means is that, for the first time in 11 years, Psych Central will have my undivided attention 24/7. That will mean additional benefits to our members -- you! We will be implementing enhancements to your community profile pages, blogs, photos and more. We will be releasing a new site update in a few more days. And we will be pursuing partnerships with other leaders in the mental health world to get the message out, reduce the stigma of these disorders, and make affordable treatment accessible to all. I am proud to take on this effort and to do anything I can to help make getting or finding support online for a mental health concerns easier and more readily available. Best, DocJohn
