I've got one brother who is trying to understand me, but simply doesn't get addiction and mental illness, much less the 2 combined.

I'm thinking that I'd like to send him some books to read on the subject, that explain addiction and mental illness.

I don't want anything too academic, or too much of a memoire.

Can anyone give me any recommendations?

Thanks.

i am unsure if this will help but it may:
I recently took a certifcation course in Mental Health First Aide (MHFA) was a very good course and a great eye opener. it came with a MHFA book that I reference to every so often. I am not sure if taking this coure would help him understand but it may be worth looking into if he is willing to take the time for it?
