I am sorry that your past is now standing in the way of your present and of your love life.... What are YOU personally doing to make changes that will last? - any medicine, books or counseling?

the problem is that i have done nothing to help myself, with in my family depression is see as something that everyone should just get over it. My parents especially. The signs were always there but they refused to see it, i was a cutter when teenager, droped out of law school, started using drugs and alcohol...i even started to believe that it was all in my head. but I need to do something and i m trying to educate myself, neeed to forget about this nightmare ...

((((((((((((((((( tommylee ))))))))))))))))))))))

hi and welcome. I'm so sorry for your pain and suffering.

It's hard to deal with depression...horrible to attempt to deal with it alone.

Please, please contact a therapist, your local community mental health, somewhere to at least get and advocate for YOU in your corner. there's much that can help to manage...

We're here. you're in my thoughts...

KD
