Rarely go to bed before 1am - later, maybe til daybreak if I end up committing insomnicide - (that's my own word for consciously eating food I know will keep me up)

I used to get up really early until I graduated high school, then in college I started staying up until the sun would come up, sometimes not sleeping for over 24 hours. I don't know how I did it and not to turn into a zombie, but I did. Now I occasionally stay up past midnight, maybe till 1 or 2 in the morning, but rarely later than that. I did, however, stay up until 6am a few weeks ago watching videos on youtube lol. I am almost always in bed by 11pm, even on weekends. I get so darned tired anymore that I literally can't stay awake longer than that. I could be on the couch watching TV and I will fall asleep. Yet on Saturday, I sleep until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. It's like my day to catch up on sleep. Unless I'm doing something with someone, I always sleep late on Saturday. Sunday, that's my church day so I'm up by 9am, which is still nice compared to getting up at 6am on weekdays. If I let myself, I could sleep all day Saturday, eat some dinner, then go right back to bed and not wake up until Sunday. I have actually done that before. But I don't think that's healthy. I just feel like when I get up I'm dragging and tied down by lead weights and I have to forcefully keep myself from falling back asleep, and on Saturdays I have nothing else to do so I just sleep. I wish I had a life. Does anyone else sleep that much? I have chronic fatigue syndrome, so I know that has to play into it, but I wonder to myself if it's abnormal even for having CFS. You know what annoys me is that they always seem to have good TV programming on late at night, like when I should be in bed, especially during the week! I'm like dang it, I want to watch that but it comes on at midnight! I swear I'm like an elderly person living in a 30 year old body.

I'm thinking the same thing too...as a back up option if the better job options fall through. I'm actually more awake at night and that's partly why I can't sleep.

But even for that (day) job, I requested that I only work in the afternoons and evenings. That way I can still get a reasonable amount of sleep even if I go to bed around 3 AM and don't go to sleep until maybe as late (early?) as 4 AM.

However, I've found that I can get up at 6 AM to go to a job and get paid.

So, I'll get up early for money! But not for any other reason.

P.S. Good luck finding a job, Yoda...hopefully we'll both be employed soon. And I also second the "Have coffee, will work" and raise you by a "Pay in cash that same day (or very soon after) and I will even get up at 6 AM for you"

Although i am usually in bed by 7pm (not by choice) i do not go to sleep till around midnight or 1am sometimes i am really tired when i get in bed but wake up after a few hours of watching TV or playing games on my computer. then it is impossible to get to sleep until about 5 or 6 am. i do not have the option of sleeping late as my carer comes in at 9am to bathe me and get me dressed so even if i did not sleep till 6am i still have to be awake at 9am. the great thing is there are always people to chat with on here as when it is early hours of the morning where i am it is mid afternoon elsewhere
