Are you an insomniac? I am, can't sleep, right now. Thought I would have fallen asleep, but ah, well...

I used to stay up, as a night owl, even once took a job that was more night hours than day hours, that was after college. Then I had kids, so I am a night owl, in an early birds life...

I am one. Almost always awake all night. It's my anxiety that keeps me awake....I usually sleep some in the morning... I will fall asleep maybe 6 or 7 am. Always anxious when I have my 1 pm T appt tho (which is today) because I don't want to oversleep, so Tuesday mornings are usually a loss.

Night person here - I am wanting to return to work part time on weekend night shifts. I am hoping since that is usually the least desirable shift I will find employment soon.

Have coffee, will work

always. I don't usually have insomnia; in fact I tend to sleep quite well. I just wake up once it's dark out. and I can't make myself go to bed. so it's not a difficulty sleeping, it's a difficulty making myself do things I don't want to do :P

Well, it's nearly 12PM, lunch time here. Lol. So there are usually people around at all times due to the time zones.

Sometimes i wake up at 4:00 am and can't get back to sleep, sometimes I'm in bed by 6:00 pm so that may be why too.

I go to bed between 2:00 and 3:00 am and get up 8-9 hours later. I've always been a night owl but these extreme hours are because of my husband's work schedule. He goes to bed at 8:00 pm, gets up at 3:45 am to leave for work and returns home at 3:30 the next afternoon. When I was highly symptomatic the later I got up in the morning the less time I had to be alone. I'm ok now but the hours stayed the same. I spend them on PC.

I'm not.....always....up at night. I got through insomnia so when that is active I'm up or when my work requires it.

Sometimes I am awake until the sun rises, then asleep until noon. This continues for weeks, then reverts back to awakening early.

For my entire life I have gone to bed late. I find that I just can't motivate myself to go to sleep. Most of the time I try to sleep but I can't.

Yes, I suppose I qualify as a night owl. I average about 4 hours of sleep a night. I can't sleep when it is light out. My body gets exhausted but my mind keeps going, going, going. I'm not worrying over things. Just thinking and sometimes physically too hyper to keep still in bed. It's a struggle.

Yeah, I can sometimes become nocturnal. I sleep much better when I am not under tons of stress/living in fear but in the current state I'm in, I'll be up until 4-5am and then sleep until 10-1pm. I think I do that partially to avoid my parents and because the house is only peaceful when everyone is asleep. But it's terrible when I have to do something on normal human schedule. My mom scheduled me to do something at 9am on Monday and I don't know how I'll make that happen.

Totally! I've always been more of a night person, but at the moment my psych says I'm suffering from delayed sleep phase? I've always felt like I was born in the wrong time zone I do go through phases of insomnia as well mind you.

My dog gets me up at 5am.
7am - back to bed.
10am - dog gets me up to play.
2pm - back to bed.
Repeat for other half of day.
