That causes all these symptoms like depression and specifically really debilitating obsessive compulsive disorder. And my mind is much slower than other people. Or caused by "neuro toxicity"? lack of a nutrient- etc... I wonder sometimes.

*By the way i wasn't sure how to phrase the title of this post-- i cant really describe it any other way sometimes-

If you think you have brain damage get an mri scan done on your brain.

If that shows nothing have a neuro psychology test done.

Sometimes our brain hard wires itself to do things because of a subconcious state.
This can affect our motor skills.

Try to get yourself tested to rule things in or our. Please talk to a professional about your concerns.

Sometimes we can be born with brain deficits. Sorry Infinitesadness not sure if you posted something prior to this that might link into this post.
Thanks for this!

I agree, neurology, MRI's and neuro-psychological evaluations, can determine if there is something physical causing your depression.

They'll ask about any head trauma, etc. Whiplash, concussion, migraine/headache history.

Yes, any type of brain injury/illness can create a physiological depression/anxiety state.
Thanks for this!

When I was 16 I started having severe panic attacks where I would black out for a few seconds and shake so the doctor scanned my brain & told me my brain waves are a little slower than normal but still in the so called normal range.

I am convinced it's related to my depression & anxiety issues I have today. I also pretty much can't do anything fast-- whether it's eating or showering etc etc.
Thanks for this!

yes, see a neurologist - MRI, eval through discussion of your symptoms, bloodwork to rule out toxicity, electrolyte imbalance - s/he can set the path toward answers &/or intervention. Water intake watch is a great suggestion.

Good luck, sending support wishes to you.
