I'm back from being in the hospital for awhile. Thanks to all of you for your well wishes and warm thoughts. I need them and appreciate them. I had a very hard time. I'm glad to be "home" again. Hello again, everyone.

Thanks, everyone. Actually, Jax, I don't think anyone knew I was in the hospital. I had to get my meds changed, and I also got a new diagnosis. It turns out that I am not bipolar. I'm schizo-affective. I don't know too much about it, so if anyone knows please let me know. I'm searching the internet. I'm going to talk to my doctor in the morning to find out more.

I guess that would be a shock. It's hard to find a lot of information on schizoaffective disorder, but I can tell you in my assessment class one of the things we learned was hardest to differentiate was between bipolar and schizoaffective. It's tricky. I just searched for it on http://www.behavenet.com/capsules/ because they often have book recommendations along with the diagnostic information (they didn't have any for schizoaffective disorder), and half of the references that came up had something to do with bipolar.

It all comes down to that you are who you are, anyway, and what label someone assigns to your symptoms doesn't actually change your symptoms or who you are. It might just help professionals to know what to keep in mind in treating you, but that's all a diagnosis really is.

Welcome back Jenn,

I myself just came back today from a 2 week hospitalization. I came barreling through the door, logged onto my computer and POOF, here I was on PC. My poor bladder was screaming at me, but I didn't care. I LOVE it here.

I hope you are feeling better soon!!!
