I have neighbors that let their dogs crap all over where everyone parks their cars. I've asked them to pick up after them, they say okay, but don't actually do it. What should I do? I have considered trying to photograph them not picking up and giving it to the police. But I'm sure the cops won't do anything. I've thought about turning them in to their landlord hoping that they aren't allowed to have dogs and get evicted. I've also considered more extreme measures, none of which I will say because they would be upsetting to some. Any ideas?

I think I would call the landlord if you know him well enough. also you can make a complaint with the city. most cities have leash laws and I think if the dogs are loose and pooping like that they are not on a leash.

rrrrrrr Must be the same ones I have. I walk my dogs and pick up but there are some who never do. "She" was out there again tonight and I had some major thoughts on this too. Not to mention the ones who drive by and throw out their garbage. rrrrrr

I'd call the city and see what the laws are. Here there is a leash law, as well as a poop law. You cannot let your animal defecate and not clean it up, a person can get fined, and after so many fines won't be issued a renewal license for the pet, and the pet can be taken away by animal control.

That's just so far inconsiderate of your neighbors!! Please don't take any drastic measures on your own, that will only lead to their retaliation and possibly trouble for you. Take the high road here and do things by the books, these people need to learn about the responsibility of raising a pet.

nothing worse than stepping in dog poo..... leaving ti on the doorstep is sweet revenge!!! heeeeee heeeee heeee

Dogs return to where they smell their own scent or another dog's... if you move the poo to the neighbor's site/space/doorway... that's where the dogs will go in the future.

There are also products that you can buy that repel dogs/cats from the areas they have been visiting. Cats are easier, as you don't have to buy expensive stuff... good cayenne pepper sprinkled around will teach them (they lick their paws and remember where they were..lol) Even cheap moth balls thrown in the parking area (esp if you can do this right before they go out) will deter them.

IDK where I live there is not only a leash law, but a pick up after law...

hope you figure something out...sure wish the landlord would help with it. TC!
