My Aunt Rosie was the ONLY one there for us and my Mom when we were kids. She left every single one of us kids a house (different neighborhoods, different worths) when she died. She was my bio-father's sister. My Mom's side of the family shunned us because of a variety of reasons.
So, I can't understand why it is now my Mom is best buddies with her side of the family but Aunt Rosie still doesn't have a tombstone on her grave. I've griped about this a couple of times to her and my rich older sister (who says Aunt Rosie was her favorite and how much she loves her) and they were both lateeeda about it-we'll get around to it eventually-IT'S BEEN 30 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!! I'm one of the poorest ones in my family who's house she left to me was not worth not much at all (in a bad neighborhood and demolitioned) but I'm willing to put out monies towards a tombstone that will honor her. I'm sooo mad at my family for being so mean, cold and heartless and unappreciative and just plain old rude! I looked at tombstones but they are soooo expensive. I cannot afford it on my own. I've already brought it up a few times and I'm too frustrated angry to try bringing it up again. It's going to cost atg least $700+ taxes for the cheapest tombstone and that doesn't include shipping or any other fees there are going to be to put the stone at her grave site. ![]() |

I'm so sorry. Much the same happened to my grandfather. I don't remember him, but my brother and I tried to get the cousins to go together to help buy a stone for him and not one of them would help us. We can't do it on our own. I hope your brother helps. Hugs, Jan

Who paid to have Aunt Rosie buried that they didn't get a tombstone? Who was the executor of the estate? I'd go after that person first.
Good luck finding others who are as interested as you are in getting a tombstone. Any cousins or other people on Aunt Rosie's/your father's side that might be interested?
