Not sure where to post this, but here goes:
I'd like to go back to college and in the past I've received full financial aid. I had to do a minimum of 12 credits for the semester in order to receive the aid. Right now 12 credits is too much for me to take upon myself. I think I can handle one class, I'm afraid two would be too much for me. Does anyone know if I can get financial aid for a 3-credit class? Thanks! (BTW, this applies to NY) |

I think you have to be at least a half-time (6 credits) student to get federal financial aid.

Yes there is, many of my sememsters in college were finded by financial aid grants and community schollarships (people and agencies in the community that set up bank bunds and schollorships for those going to college usually in the name of (named after) a loved one that graduated from that college or died in the community.for part time students.
contact your colleges financial aid office and they can help you locate those grants that are for part time students. |

It depends on the college you go to! Each college is different. Some colleges require for students to be full time in order to recieve it others you can get it at half time. My suggestion would be to talk with the financail advisor and see what they can do to help you. There may be a scholarship you can get that will pay the cost for the three credits.
