I have been sooooo tired for a couple of months now. I went to my GP doctor and had some blood work checked - thyroid, CBC, glucose,... Today they said the results of the tests were normal. I am peri-menopausal, wondering if that could be it so I scheduled an appt with a GYN.
I am told I am bipolar. Wondering if this could be part of the depressed cycle. I am mostly happy with my life except I am really stressing over my dad coming to visit in 3 weeks and the house is a wreck & I don't want to hear him *****. I just can't find the energy to clean for very long.
My diet is erratic. I have gained 12 pounds in the past 2 months.
Should I call my psychiatrist? Or whom?

Yoda, it could be a lack of the proper vitamins and it could also be your depression.

You could try taking some B Complex vitamins and see if it helps. Vitamin B is also supposed to be good for depression and nerves. If it doesn't help in a day or two, then talk to your psychiatrist. It could very well be depression.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hello I hope you are feeling better at this time. I have hormonal problems and I switched to a hypoglycemia diet recommended by the American diabetes Association, and I feel better since the diet lets you eat less food, more often. I have more energy, as well, and it helps with weight as well. You can find this diet on the American Diabetes Website under hypoglycemia. Take care and good day Soidhonia

Hey.. also... if you happen to have fibromyalgia, which often goes undetected for some time, a thyroid test won't always be reliable.. something about the endocrine system and fibromyalgia....

I have fibromyalgia and hypothyroidism.... it took a while to figure it all out though... so hang in there!
