Here's the thing...I learned today from the WV Dept of Educ. online site that there's a high school Art teaching job in an area of WV that I love....near Canaan Valley ski area and lovely little towns. It's in the north central part of the state, and would require uprooting myself. I actually sent a letter to the supt. of schools there this evening, asking for an interview.
Hey, I know this is crazy. I just moved to this new little house; the move was a killer. But I would love to make this change if I could manage to sell this house. It needs improvements, and i've already scheduled contractors to do them. This must be done to even pass a home inspection. I doubt this will work out, but I would love to move! Patty |

Follow your heart... But in the mean time, why not take a few weekend trips to Canaan Valley. Find a cool hotel and spend weekends exploring the area. This way you
"may" get a "better" feel of what living there might be like... Moving can sometimes be the best thing in the world.. And sometimes not... Guess one would not know unless they tried.. right? Benefits of being an independent woman, if ya don't like it there, you can always move again.. :  Good luck... Keeping fingers crossed you get an interview... |

I got a quick response from the supt. of schools up there telling me the posting for the job had ended and that they had a large pool of applicants. That's probably for the best, since I have this "money pit" house I'm fixing up, and little equity right now.
I like Radio Flyer's suggestion of a trip up there. Might have to do that just for the fun of it! Thanks all! Patty |
