I was caught shoplifting with a friend and charged with felony remove tags and felony conspire. I recently admited myself for mental evaluation. i was diagnosed with borderline traits, depression and schizophrenia. I steal or did steal because ill see something in the store something i dont even really like or need and i hear voices saying over there take it grab it get it take it take take it grab it go. If I take the item it stops if I dont take the item ill obsess over it and keep hearing the voices until I go back and do take it. While at the hospital they gave me medacine that makes it all go away. Everyone says i should plead not guilty but what if i explain to the judge about the voices and that ive seeked help and gotten it? what should i do?

I would consult an attorney as to which way to go with this. A criminal attorney is much more able to understand how it would work to your best interest whether to use is or not. Laws are different in every state. Good luck what every you choose.

Are you in therapy to understand why you do these things?
