I'm not sure this qualifies for a movie about mental illness, but it
did have a profound effect on me "Dead Poet's Society" abusive father leading to the son's suicide... it hit home with me.... |

I also remember a movie on Lifetime
"Doing Time on Maple Drive" Jim Carrey plays an alcoholic son in a dysfuctional family it is a really good movie |
