Yes, September I know the song well. It has always been accepted as referring to the Silver Chalice, that having it's origin of being the cup that Christ drank from with the apostles at the Last Supper.
It refers to life, for sure. But it has also come to refer to Christ Himself, those who drink regular water will thirst again , but those who drink of the cup of life = Christ, will never thirst (for life) again. There are many net references you can look up... careful though because as it the way of all things in the world, the dark forces take good and use them for evil. Please research anything I suggest before believing...

The song having been a popular song in the '70's, was it, I doubt that it has religious implications.
If you are a Christian, which I am, it's nice to think of the implication, "drinking of the Living Water." However, this isn't the place to push our religious beliefs. ![]() ![]() ![]() This above all: To thine own self be true. -- Shakespeare

Hmmm... thinkin there were plenty of songs that referred to religion back then... gee isn't that when the movie Jesus Christ Superstar came out? And, actually, this is a General area of posting...
Sorry you are sensitive to any such implication. However, I was hardly "pushing" my religious beliefs. But also, in fact, 90% of Americans believe in God.... Please research anything I suggest before believing...

I'm not sensitive. I was just giving you a heads up because there are people here that are sensitive to religious topics. If you want to go ahead and broach the topic of religion, please do so. Just don't say you weren't warned, and in a friendly manner, too. You must have passed over the fact that I stated I am Christian. I'm sorry you took it the wrong way.

just what this was... one of your first negative posts against me, claiming you are a Christian.... recent posts you share how you are a loving person, but it's been a one way street.
What did I do to you? From when I came on board you countered my posts ... nearly each one in order... I have no knowledge of attacking you then... and only recently have lost my patience and tried to confront you. You began this. Are you angry with me because you aren't the one that's going to end it, but I??? Character is who you are when no one is looking
