I tried getting out of the house, out of my head to see if things would change or if I'm stuck in these feelings endlessly.......went to a movie, walked around the lake, nothing helped.......I was reading a book that says to give yourself a deadline so I have done just that.

Yes, my husband and I went out, got a bit of lunch and I had him take me to a drugstore so I could find a romance-type novel for when I go to bed tonight (finished the one I was reading last night).

Sometimes I try that; go to a large drugstore or grocery store and try to find something "interesting." Near where I found the book I found pen and paper that you can eat (both the pen and the slips of paper so you can write edible notes)! It was adorable and my daughter-in-law was looking to find novelty pens so I had to send her this candy. That worked for a bit.

Hon, are you taking any kind of meds to help with that? Therapy? If not, that's a good place to start! If you are, then they aren't working and you need to talk to a pshychiatrist.

I am taking 40mg of Celexa a day and then my doctor prescribed xanax and sleeping pills a little over a week ago.
Things have to get better....i hesitate to say they can't get worse but in my worst dreams I can't think of feeling worse than I do now.
I do keep a journal, 2 in fact. a good feeling one and one that holds alot of other things......

You may be having a reaction to the Xanax as well as the sleeping pill. You might want to contact your prescriber about how you are feeling.

Xanax really numbs me is why I suggest that. It could be the reason for your feeling so... blah.. for lack of a better expression.
