Is anyone else affected by the full moon? I'm more anxious, my skin crawls, I just want to hide under the covers.

I grow fur and fangs, but other than that it doesn't affect me at all.
Thanks for this!

I never pay attention to what state the moon is in so I don't know if it affects me. Maybe I should look into that.

Last few years I have become very aware of its phase and time of the day. I can't say I am affected unless it is going to be a good photo op

Last few months the moon has been particularly bright and rises in the late afternoon so it is visible all night. I notice this because I have this big window really high up in my living room. There is always some light but it is distinctly different when the moon is in the right location and phase. Could this be playing a role?

This is one of my favorite daytime pictures of the moon

Not the moon per se, but the week before my "friend" starts (or would start, as I'm "changing" as they say), I always notice (afterwards) how affected my judgement would be, how much my ability to filter out bad decisions would change. And for me, my cycle would always be affected by the lunar cycle. In my 20s, that would be the week I would give in to bad moods and simply call off just because I felt I could not go into work. I couldn't put it into words. I simply gave in to this...overwhelming exhaustion, when every other time I could deal with it just fine. But I felt powerless to stop this. I think they make meds for this severe pms today, but back then, women just were told it was normal to not quite be yourself the week before. Maybe it is normal, but it really affected my job.

I've been noticing it more now that I too am changing. January's moon was supposed to be very intense, I was a mess, crying, fighting, plotting, and I had my period. This one I can't tell because I have a bunch of non-regular things happening at the same time. The way I notice, I start acting up, I realize I'm acting up, check the calendar, bingo period and full moon.

I notice I am more unable to sleep regardless of the meds I take or how much. I tend to be almost without patience and aggravated more than usual. It gets worse the closer to the full moon it gets and the day after I feel like I could sleep for a week.
Thanks for this!

im not affected anymore. i think that is because i stay inside more and i actually dont see a lot of moonlight, or i just changed. in the past i could feel nauseated from a green full moon, now i just love the moon. im glad it doesnt make me feel bad anymore because it is so pretty... i love it like i love the stars and the planets.

Well, that IS where the word "lunatic" comes from... Maybe there's truth in it?

I read that the moon was more of a factor in people's lives when there was no indoor lighting. The light changes. If you can't sleep very well in light a full moon would effect your sleep. It might also cause people to stay up later because you can see. Partying? Makes sense, huh?

I like it...and find it calming to look at and get a kind of refreshed energized feeling.

You too, huh?

Nah, in all seriousness, actually the full moon is about the only time I feel like I can think clearly. No kidding. Back when I worked retail during the full moon nights, the customers acted generally more stupid and reckless than usual. Lotta police calls and stuff, but this is convenience store work we're talking about.

I love the full moon. It makes the sky such a calming blue. The moon seems magical to me. But I know many people are adversely affected by the moon's stages.

@live2ski66, on a full moon I can sense things happening that otherwise are less likely to happen, such as branches falling across the roadway or people behaving strangely.

I have been hospitalized no less than 4 times 2 days after a full moon, exactly the second day after a full moon.
