I've stated in the past that my hobby is learning languages, and the one problem I have is remembering word for word something someone said. I can remember 95% of what is said if it's a language I know but sometimes I miss key words which can be all important to the conversation. Especially in a language like mandarin where the wrong tone. Could be... Bad. I was wondering if this was a skill I could acquire or is it something that I'm just going to have to live with? Is it possible to remember all of what is said?

I would think it would be a matter of practice. The more you work at it the better you will get.
