I am feeling like a kid here agian... very excited .. but the adult in me.. kinda leary of what might happen. Guess we'll hope for the best!!

Everyone here is on red alert too, Bethy.

After all, we're supposed to get 4 inches of snow. 4 INCHES! Bread, milk, and toilet paper are sold out at the grocery stores.

I love living in NoVA. Blizzard Warning!!!!!

Everyone stay safe and enjoy the snow. Do you all have alternative heat sources just in case you need them? How about flashlights and batteries?

Jan

PS. We want pics of you guys sledding and skiing!!!!! Blizzard Warning!!!!!

I was thinking about you up there when I heard the forecast. When it stops go build a snowman!

We got a storm in Philly. The good news is that I got off from work today-the bad news is, this weather really sucks. It's not just fun snow-it's this freezing rain, sleet and snow and the wind-it's really bad and strong. It whips the ice pellets in your face really hard and makes your eyes tear up. And when you walk in the snow-you don't crunch on the snow like usual, you know how you usually sink into it and it gets all crunchy? Well, with this snow, you can't even break it's surface because it's so ICY! You just sorta glide along on top of it. Scary. I have to hold onto a wall as I walk.
My car was totally frozen from bumper to bumper so I warmed it up and defrosted the windshield with the heat and scraped all of the ice off the whole rest of the car. I go inside the house for 4 hours and then when I go back out my car is all iced up again.
This stupid wind won't let up either. Grrrr! Wouldn't be so bad without the wind.
I'm not looking forward to having to drive to work tomorrow. I wished for a snow day and now I'm sorry I got it. I'd rather go and work then put up with this kind of weather. Yelk.
Good luck with your storm SweetSunshine. I hope it's not as windy and icy there as it is here. Stay safe and warm.
