My life!!!
is purely chaotic. I am a procrastinator. I rarely finish anything and when I do I feel accomplished. Then a day and a half later...poof...it's right back where it began. Homely duties, my job, college, kids, marriage, family...everything! It's so dang hard sometimes. I think I procrastinate because my problems are like literally shoveling the snow during a blizzard. I keep shoveling and shoveling and when I turn around the gosh dang snow is there again! It's just frustrating. I'm beginning to think that since I procrastinate things get very far behind. Then I get this bug up my butt and I binge out on "improving". I do good for a minute. Then everything gets way behind again and it happens much quicker then the "improving" phase. Sometimes I tell myself "screw it, it'll be a wreck soon anyway" and I just let it go till it becomes a mountain of a mess. Does anybody else shovel during a blizzard?? |

Now, I don't want to start an issue here but please let it be known that I, and I alone am the queen of prograstination. Ha, Ha. Well, actually it's something I have been working on a lot. For me it is being overwhelmed and the more I procrastinate, the more behind I become. So for example bills. I have gotten almost all of them to be paid directly. I have phone and plumber to go. Oh, and heating oil but I can't afford that AT ALL so I can't budget it. Anyway, when I do that I don't procrastinate on opening mail. I've almost lost checks that way. Secondly, I procrastinate on house work but then it becomes a vicious circle so I am able to do what needs to be done daily to keep on top of things and let spouse vaccum on weekends because it is too painful for me. I dust mop etc all week due to 5 dogs. Dishes, I wash as I see them. Spouse is a brat about even putting his in sink let alone dishwasher. Kids always knew to put in dishwasher.
Anyway, I am just trying to say start small and choose one thing at a time tonot procrastinate on and do it. Then choose another. And be nice to yourself as it took/has taken me years. When you are juggling all that you are it is hard to get it all together. Other parents of kids same age might have suggestions. My dear friend reminded me today that I was "good enough" at raising the kids and doing the juggle thing eventhough I can look back and wish I had done it differently. Take care. |

I think if I worked to my full potential and didn't procrastinate then I would have graduated highschool by now. (I'm in 11th grade)
