This is very common problem for me... I tend to become irritable... like from small sounds and "annoying things" (usually very small things) ... I'm like too alert all the time. It goes along with anxiety and nervous/physical agitation. Guess it's just a symptom of anxiety... I'd just like to hear others' experiences with chronic irritability. I have chronic anxiety and stress out very easily "from nothing" and depression troubles and symptoms from those. Luv u all !

I tend to be irritable sometimes too, but I notice its really bad if I'm hungry, angry, lonely, or tired. Usually when something in my life isn't suitable to me, my irritability is hightened. Like sometimes I want to throw my cat in the closet when he won't shut up....thats usually when something is going on my life that is making me more agitated than normal.

I tend to be irrated over simple things; certain sounds, excessive laughing, silliness, people shouting for no reason. As with Raynaadi, my irritability s heightened when something is going on, at which point, friends and family notice and ask annoying questions that don't help.

I live a quiet life, and I get deeply engrossed in what I'm doing. Sound can be an irritation. I try to remind myself that it's good that other people are enjoying themselves, being silly, shouting, listening to music. This is our humanness. It helps me.
