This is a random post, but
When I read her quotes, they don't sound like someone who has never seen or heard anything. I know she was fine until age 19 months, but that doesn't really count. Helen seemed to have an in-depth understanding of life and the world, things I don't understand. She learned everything through signing into her palm. . I wonder if her deafblindness was the cause for her brilliant mind, my theory being that when one ability is lost, another is multiplied. Ie. I have virtually no social skills but I can recite the process of chemotaxis. Someone who has a balance would have average social skills and average academic skills, wheras a socially talented person may not be very analytical. She inspires m a lot, I watch Miracle Worker again and again |

That's an interesting theory. I think she experienced the same things we do but in a different manner. She was born with a brilliant mind and learned how to use it as though she was not handicapped. She attended school and college and is a wonderful person to gain inspiration from.
